“Our Union is not aware of 2,500 okada given to our members.” This is not true. We have a strong Union and if such a significant event happened, we would know.” No single individual in Nigeria has ever given 500 okada to our members not to talk of 2,500″. Comrade Ikuesan said further that such reports are figments of imagination. “We urge flippant commentators not to drag our Union into their parochial battle. “Charle Boy is not our member. He only recruited some of our members anytime he wants to organize rallies for a fee” Comrade Ade Ikuesan said there is no record of Charly Boy or anyone giving 2,500 okada to it’s members.

Comrade Ikuesan, a popular Human Rights activist, known for his past participation in the Nigeria general democratic struggle urged journalists to always investigate their stories and not to rely on rumors.
