The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-olu and the first lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-olu have been invited to join Nigerians in a “Walk for Freedom” in celebrating this year World Human Rights Day program.

The invitation letter was sent by a Civil Rights organization, Human Rights Monitoring Agenda (HURMA Global Resource Initiative) and signed by the Executive Director of the body, Comrade Buna Olaitan Isiak.

The program scheduled to hold on Friday December 10 at the Central Operating office of HURMA in Somolu will host series of other activities including Press briefing of current “State of the Nation”; Short Street Walk to a nearby public facility and as well street interview to few Nigerians who will express their genuine minds on way forward.

Other dignitaries invited include the Speaker and members of Lagos House of Assembly; Members of Federal House of Representatives; CSO leaders among others.

Every 10th of December is the day selected by the United Nation as World Human Rights Days. This is however use by committed bodies across the globe to do general assessment of human rights situation.

  1. It is right to observe a day in a year to remember the oppressed world wide, and unnecessary human right abuse in our country
