EFCC Should Invite Criminal, Not Our Godly Child – Family Cries To Human Rights Monitors, HURMA Over GT Power Tank Worker

Members of Ojetoro family from Kosofe area of Lagos State have appealed to the office of Human Rights Monitoring Agenda (HURMA Global Resource Initiative) for possible intervention in appealing to the management of GT Power Tank in Lagos not to let their son, Victor Emmanuel Ojetoro to suffer for a sin not committed in the hand of EFCC Lagos staff.

“Our son is a God fearing child brought up in a religious home and does not do anything ungodly. EFCC office is supposed to be inviting criminals not the likes of our child.

“Moreso, Victor Emmanuel has nothing with the matter for which EFCC is inviting him. The matter should be for company management to handle, not our poor family”.

Some family members of Ojetoro contacted HURMA office on Wednesday 23rd of April when the son was invited for questioning by the EFCC over a matter of fraudulent transaction between GT Power Tank ESS where Victor Ojetoro works as the after sale manager and Rehoboth System Limited.
According to the family narration, Victor Ojetoro, an employee of GT Power Tank ESS as after sales manager and engineer only offer technical advise to customers as directed by the company management.

“He does not deal with transaction on money or marketing whosoever hence has no question to answer.
“Rehoboth System Limited representatives were introduce to Power Tank ESS by the sales representative, Adetunji Olusegun who is now at large.
“Mr. Olusegun completed a negotiation with Rehoboth System Limited on a transaction of over 40 million naira and offered his personal account for payment.
This matter was earlier reported to both the Nigeria Police Force and EFCC office GT Power Tank management.

“The EFCC office in response to a fresh complaint by Rehoboth System Limited now inviting Victor Ojetoro and detained him for several hours and as well requesting bail conditions that can never be met by an average Nigerian family.

“We are hereby appealing to the company management of GT Power Tank ESS to please put in all efforts to ensure that our God fearing and hard working son does not suffer for a sin not committed”.

However the Executive Director of Human Rights Monitoring Agenda HURMA, Comrade Buna Olaitan Isiak spoke with the company’s lawyer, Barrister Praise Edime who afterwards secured bail of Mr. Ojetoro on the conditions of availability for further investigation. Comrade Buna Isiak as well assured the Ojetoro family EFCC as a reliable and unbiased body with staff that work for the general good of all.

He also gives assurance of management control.
