A call has gone to the Lagos State commissioner of Police to urgently unmask the killers of a young man who was gruesomely murdered by a trigger happy police man attached to a religious leader in the Ladipo Oshodi area of the state .


This advise was given on Monday by the Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) in press statement signed by it’s Executive Director,Comrade Gbenga SOLOKI describing the incident as unfortunate,wicked and pure murder, stressing that unmasking the killer cops will bring succour to the family of the deceased as well serve as deterrent to other irresponsible police men..

The group also appeal to the police hierarchy to also withdraw police attached to some prominent People in the society and equally conduct search to ascertain most of those police escorts as information has it that some are dismissed police men,while some are mere area boys who are equipped by those who they protect.


According to CAIDOV” We want to appeal to the Lagos police commissioner to embark on serious scrutiny to unmask those police that murdered that young man in Ladipo Lagos State. It’s also pertinent to carry out extensive audit of police attached to VIPs as some are either dismissed or retired police men and in some instances,area boys are well equipped and provided gadgets by their bosses,thus the need to critically examine them and possibly withdraw some since the number of police we have is grossly inadequate for protection. ”

The group commiserate with the family of the deceased and promised it will ensure that justice is gotten in this matter and urged the commissioner of police not to cover up anybody in this circumstance.

Finally,we wish to commiserate with the family of Waliu Dauda and also to assure them that we shall ensure we get justice in this matter and that it will not bw added to legion of unresolved murder in the country. The CP should ensure that those found culpable in the murder are not protected from the long arm of the law”.
