Nigeria Development Requires Undiluted Patriotism From Nigerians- Comrade Hakeem Dauda

A former Lagos State veteran of Human Rights struggle who is now the Secretary of Ikeja Local Government, Lagos State, Comrade Hakeem Dauda, has called for what he termed “Undiluted Patriotism” among Nigerians, to achieve the required development for the general good of all.

This was expressed in an interview with RightsMonitors at Jebba airport on his way back to Nigeria from the holy land of Mecca on Thursday 22nd, August, 2019.
He appreciates the Ikeja L.G boss, Engr. Dr. Alabi Mojeed Balogun, among other leaders for the wisdom in selecting him among others comprising members of Political calss and civil servants.
“About 37 days ago, l and other chunk members of Ikeja local government under the Leadership of our amiable, conscious, dedicated, God fearing and compassionate leader, Engr. Dr Alabi Mojeed Balogun, the executive chairman of the local government sponsored delegates to Makkah to perform this year’s (2019) Hajj”.
“On behalf of the delegates, which comprised the Political class and civil Servants, we are all thankful to Almighty Allah for his blessings and Mercy to be able to be counted among the ulamah that perform the Hajj. I want to also use this medium to thank our amiable and visionary Chairman, for his support and encouragement”.

“Organizationally, I observed a lot of spiritual, cultural and economic opportunities here that can be domesticated in our country for the benefits of our citizens and the economic development of our country. As a stakeholder in the political and economic development of our country, I observed the undiluted followership zeal here in the holy land and I want to enjoin us to emulate it for the corporate development of our country..” Furthermore he said for us to get to a desired promised Land, we must see ourselves in Nigeria as one and deviate from promoting anything that could encourage division, whatsoever. He said unlike when there was battle between the Nigerian people and the military, we now have our own government in place and should therefore involve more in strategic progressive engagement by regularly appreciating good program of the government and as well make ourselves available in assisting for progress.
“We need to be more proactive and conscious. We need to believe in our country and the Leadership if we need to move forward in our country”.
