“POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND” NOW BECOMING A REALITY IN NIGERIA
…Surely the struggle of our past and living heroes never in vain.
LET’S COMPLETE THE POLICE WORK AND SAVE A SOUL
On Saturday 16th, October 2021, an accident victim abandoned by the roadside by fellow Nigerian citizens at Gbagada Area of Lagos State, was rescued by some police officers (yes, same officers of the Nigeria Police Force) of Mobile Police Training College Ila-Orangun, Osun State. They saw the victim at the point of death and drove her to Gbagada General Hospital where there was “NO BED SPACE” (as usual), then to LASUTH and finally to Igbobi Orthopedic Hospital in Somolu, Lagos.
The big surprise was that the officers paid #25k (twenty five thousand naira) from the #50k (fifty thousand naira) requested before treatment, all these before the arrival of her family members. They have since been calling everyday to know her true condition and as well intend to visit soon.
Now To Our Fellow Nigerian Citizens:
The 17 years old girl accident victim, Teslimot Lawal is a member of Human Rights Monitoring Agenda (HURMA). The brother in-law, Toyeeb Hezekiah Aluko was the first secretary of HURMA, Somolu Unit and also a member and staff of CDHR for many years. The family is now confronted with huge financial burden for treatment at Igbobi Othopaedic.
Our office have contributed some amount and hereby solicit public support to assist the family.
