The Chairman Steering Committee of Movement Against Corruption (MAC), Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin has called on Nigerians across board, to join in combating corruption for the general good of all, irrespective of their class status.

This formed a major message delivered in her keynote address as a special guest of honour at the Annual Youth Summit of Nehemiah Creative Leadership Ministry, held on 24th August 2019, Palmgrove, Lagos.

The event was put together by the President of the Ministry, Pastor Moses Oyedeji.
Speaking on the topic, “Corruption and Leadership”, the Chair, Steering committee, Movement Against Corruption MAC, dealt on the cancerous danger of the monster –Corruption, that has eaten deep into our national and individual fabrics, decrying that our country is bleeding under the heavy weight of corruption as this is evident in our way of life from the private sector down to public sector of our economy.

She decried further that politicians are not helping in combating corruption as most of them lack the moral fiber in combating this monster.

Dr Joe noted further that corruption is doing damage to us collectively as a country. Those at the receiving end of corruption are dying of hunger and denied access to basic necessities of life. The collapse of our infrastructure and the moral decay we face all over are vertically linked to the evil of corruption. Even the corrupt people are also victims of the consequences of corruption as they now live in virtual prison against assault from the criminals hatched by corruption.

It is said that the few who are rich cannot sleep for as long as the many, who are poor are awake, it is a shame”, she concluded.
